This is a framed 4" X 6" print of a painting of a Brewster F2A "Buffalo". The painting is detailed and accurately portrays this important WWII warbird. The Buffalo saw action early in WWII. One of the first monoplanes designed with an arrester hook and other modifications for carrier use, the F2A proved to be unstable and overweight, compared to the Japanese Zero. Often referred to as a "flying coffin" by pilots, it was replaced by the F4F Wildcat. The wooden military gray colored frame measures 6.5" X 8.5" and has a routered piece for hanging. A mounting screw and a dowel for displaying the frame on a shelf or desk is included. Proudly made in the USA by a Vietnam veteran owned company!
