This is a beautiful 4" X 6" print of a painting of a British Vickers Wellington "MK II" returning from a mission. The painting depicts this twin-engine bomber designed in the mid-1930's. The aircraft was used as a day bomber, night bomber, air borne radar platform and for mine clearance. Fitted with a 48 ft diameter ring, it created a powerful magnetic field that exploded German mine fields. The wooden military green colored frame measures 6.5" X 8.5" and has a routered piece for hanging. A mounting screw and a dowel for displaying the frame on a shelf or desk is included. Made in the USA by a veteran owned company.
